Our liquid steel production and cast products are monitored by our quality assurance system conforming to ISO 9001:2000, and duly certified by TÜV SÜD.
ESB quality also means:
- Steel to national and international standards and chemical analyses (ARR, ASME, BS, DIN, EN, GOST, JIS, NFA, UIC, UNI, etc.
- TÜV 97/23/EC/ADW0 certification
- Shipbuilding classifications, approved in accordance with DNV, LRS and ABS
- Official company approvals by manufacturers and users of forged and extruded components
- Official approval by railway companies and by national supervisory bodies for railway traffic
- Steel to customer specifications and requirements
- Incoming and outgoing radioactivity testing
Characteristics of the steel:*
- P ≤ 0.015 %
- S ≤ 0.005 %
- H2 ≤ 2ppm
- N2 ≤ 60ppm
- 02 ≤ 20 ppm
- micrographic property: DIN 50 602 K4 < 20, ASTM A534
- macrographic property: AMS 2301, AMS 2304 on request
Strict handling of the production parameters ensures excellent reproducibility of the thermal behaviour, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances and technological characteristics for parts and components manufactured from ESB steel.
*Lower levels of gaseous elements can be agreed.
